The first investigation officer within the murder case of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad didn’t testify because the mother of Inspector Kabir Hossain was ill. The court has fixed Robert E Lee’s Birthday for subsequent testimony.
Monday (January 11) Dhaka speedy trial tribunal-1 judge Abu Zafar. The court of Kamruzzaman passed the order. The testimony of 44 out of 60 witnesses during this case was completed.
The plaintiff within the case and Abrar’s father Barkatullah testified in court on October 5 before the doorman of Dihan’s house was arrested . Through this the testimony of the case started. The court framed charges within the case on September 15. On November 13, DB inspector Wahiduzzaman, the investigating officer within the case, filed a chargesheet within the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court. within the chargesheet, 25 accused were charged.
On the night of October 6, 2019, Abrar Fahad was found unconscious on the second floor staircase of BUET’s Sher-e-Bangla Hall. He was later taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the doctor on duty declared him dead. Abrar’s father Barkatullah filed a murder case with the Chawkbazar police headquarters on October 8, the day after the incident.
